Chateau de Versailles

Today the Meiers took me to go see the Chateau de Versailles*, the home of Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, and Marie Antoinette. Cool, eh? And we saw Marie Antoinette's vacation home, another castle about a 3 km walk away. Fancy that, having a vacation home about 3 kilometers away from your normal home. (I actually don't know the official distance. We walked it, though, and that's my guess)

Another two bullets on my list of social observations**:

  • You can't force anyone to do anything. I know, deep. But there's a difference between knowing it, and learning it, if ya know what I mean.
  • Although you can't force anyone to do anything, you can always make the desired action appear more appealing to the subject. However, if the subject is older than about age 3, said person will usually go with what they want to do anyway :)

*Pictures soon to come
**Disclaimer: These observations are purely philosophical, and are in no way a subtle means to complain about negative experiences. I am having the time of my life here.
